Finding the Write Words

I am thrilled to announce that my short story, Hunger, won Possibilities Publishing Company’s 2018 anthology contest and is featured in the new collection Triumph: Stories of Victories Great and Small. Don’t you love the cover? Available via the publisher or on Amazon.

  • Thanks to the Ocean’s Eight Book Club in Mystic, Connecticut, for choosing Homing Instincts and hosting one of the most enjoyable author chats I’ve had since the book was published. I hope to return.
  • Thanks to everyone who came out to hear me read from Homing Instincts at George Mason University’s Fall for the Book Festival in October. It was great to re-connect with old teachers and friends, and to be back on campus again!

  • Many thanks to the gracious members of the Thames River Book Club who hosted cover artist Roxanne Steed and me on May 30 for a discussion after they’d read Homing Instincts. A fine time was had by all, as attested to by this group photo:

Homing Instincts is available via all the major online book sellers, as well as through select independent bookstores and libraries, and directly from Fiction Attic Press — the route I endorse. Small presses are publishing some of the best new fiction out there today. Please help support them!

Check out some reviews of the book on Amazon. And please stop by Goodreads or Amazon and leave your own.
